minimalist
This style is simplistic in the best of ways: clean and streamlined in every sense. A neutral palette layering subtle tones and implementing texture to give depth. Chunky cable knits, faux furs and velvet add the textural, sensory elements. Quality over quantity when it comes to the sleek furnishings and multi-functional pieces. A clutter- free and color-averse space comprise this very defined style.
zen
This style embraces the pure basics, balance and harmony. A monochromatic color palette mixed with natural and sustainable materials. Textural fabrics and textiles. Solid colored bedding, curtains and rugs. Indoor plants, diffused lighting and essential oils will most certainly adorn a zen-inspired space.
scandinavian
This style builds upon a simple white canvas combined with lighter wood tones, hints of black and pops of color. Natural light-drenched spaces, clean lines, fresh flowers and plants are a must. Candles, lots of candles. And sheepskin rugs, seat covers, etc., add to the cozy feels found in Scandinavian design.
mid-century modern
This style is a throwback and tribute to 40’s & 50’s. Long, streamlined sofas, warm wood finishes (teak, rosewood), Sputnik style chandeliers, Eames molded plastic chairs – aka the Eiffel chair – and furniture with tapered legs. An abundance of plants and plant stands, low credenzas and bar carts, brass and chrome accents, as well as geometric patterns.
contemporary
This style focuses on the current trends, but also borrows concepts from modern, Art Deco and even futuristic design. Contemporary design starts with a neutral canvas and utilizes bold color pops, low profile furnishings, arc lamps and oversized artwork. Open, airy spaces with gallery style windows. Soft lines and curves, chrome finishes and recessed lighting.
traditional
This style is classic, refined and calm. A nod to the old world. The signature traditional pieces are tufted furniture, Persian rugs, crystal chandeliers and wingback chairs. Oil portraits and landscapes. Textiles with classic patterns such as stripes and plaids. Gilded accents, fringe tassels, and accent colors in deep, rich hues.
rustic
This style embraces a farmhouse vibe and turns up the cozy factor. Wide plank wood floors, a welcoming fireplace, deep-seated sofas, washed linen and cotton slip-covers. A natural, soft color palette, faux animal hides, reclaimed barn wood, and white walls.
bohemian
This style encompasses a global vibe; distressed furniture, well-loved upholstery and rugs, Moroccan poufs, hand-dyed linens. Layering textiles is quintessential. Tropical plants, intricate patterns and saturated colors all have their place.
